Job Title: CLEAN UP – Entry Level Operator
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Clean up and shovel sawdust and pick up stickers and chunks of wood and help keep mill site in a presentable appearance and safe place to walk and work. A clean up person should be willing to work overtime when needed and learn how to run machinery.
EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED:
Training in safety and how to lock out machinery before getting under, around, or in machinery. Lock out procedures and company policy.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE REQUIRED:
Must complete and pass the Rolling Stock training class and re-certify annually.
Must complete Chainsaw safety class before using a chainsaw.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Be a safe worker.
2. Keep the mill clean for safety reasons and to maximize production.
3. Help out wherever needed.
4. Willing to train on other jobs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Safety minded.
2. Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
3. Work without constant supervision.
4. Self- motivated.
5. Be a Team Player.
6. Perform any other tasks that may be assigned.
