Job description
The Blue Heron is looking for a cashier! We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and honest person that is committed to outstanding customer service. Weekends & Holidays are a must as well as flexibility for scheduling.
You will need to have or obtain a food handlers certificate as well as an OLCC certificate.
This position requires being able to sell alcohol, so ages 18 & up is needed.
All employees must pass a background check & have ID & Social security card or a passport readily available.
Must be able to work weekends!!
Cashier experience is preferred, but we will provide training!
Responsibilities
Greet customers as they enter store
Maintain positive attitude and customer relations
Operate a Point of Sale system
Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
General cleaning and maintenance of sales area
Skills
Excellent communication skills
Take direction well
Ability to stand for 7 or more hours.
Able to lift 25 lbs.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Ability to multitask
EXCELLENT customer service skills
Ability to run a POS system accurately
Ability to work alone or with a team
