Perform a variety of instructional duties assisting a licensed staff member in the implementation of a specific program for individual students or small groups.
GENERAL DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Behavior management techniques.
Ability to work harmoniously with others and to communicate effectively with students, parents and teachers.
Ability to follow general oral and written instructions.
Ability to work independently and take initiative in task performance.
Ability to meet the “Highly Qualified“ paraprofessional requirements (*below for more info)
Ability to pass a Criminal Background/fingerprint check ($70 fee)
HIGHLY QUALIFIED PARAPROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Tillamook School District requires that all paraprofessionals be “Highly Qualified”.
There are 3 ways you can meet these requirements.
Possess an associate’s (or higher) degree, or
Complete two years of study at an institute of higher education with a minimum of 72 quarter college credits or 48 semester college credits, or
Pass a local assessment test demonstrating basic knowledge of reading, writing and mathematics skills. (Accuplacer)
TBCC Next-Generation AccuPlacer Test – Next-Generation Writing – 223 or above, Next-Generation Arithmetic – 235 or above
START DATE: August 28, 2026 (new staff orientation)
WAGES: $17.49 – $19.21 dependent on experience and per the 2026/27 OSEA Salary Schedule
